So today I participated in the 2nd Los Angeles Run To Remember. For those who aren’t into running, this event is a half marathon to honor fallen law enforcement officers, firefighters and first responders. There are a lot of police, fire, and Cadet Corps participants. Several groups run in formation shouting cadence.
The runs starts at The Grove, a pretty cool shopping complex here in Los Angeles. From there, the course takes you through various parts of Hollywood. The race highlight is running through the Paramount Studios back lot. It is a really cool setting with several old school police cars on display
Overall, it a pretty decent event. I like running up Western Avenue, but it is seriously more uphill than it looks. There is also a lot of race support along the way. And most importantly, you are supporting organizations that really do a lot for you. Unless thing change, I will run it again next year.
And I finished in under three hours, which makes it a good run.
